Blue skies
and gentle clouds unfold, A blazing of reds
and golds, Embellishing a countryside
as, The call of the old Church holds.
The coloring spreads forth
its beauty, To one meadow by and by, Where
golden fields of Indian corn, Stand higher
beneath God's sky.
Yes an Autumn Gathering
embarks, Tranquil and composed as
geese, Gently glide on down from the
heavens, Possessing with ease their
peace.
And every harvesting's
picturesque, The time for bringing in
crops, Having corn stalks and pumpkins and
squash, Decorating roadside shops.
Painted whispers of Autumn
are God's, Rainbow of colors that
raise, The eyes to watch the stunning
changes, From dawn to dusk as leaves
blaze.
The very hand of God
awakens, Every leaf to fresh new
blooms, Like roses and scarlets so
vivid, New crisp air bathes of
perfumes.
The month of October's our
party, Invited guests are the same, The
Chestnuts, Oaks and Maples leading, The
leaves of every name.
Leaves changing green
foliage to brighter, Fall colors for a
carpet, Turn out spectacular
scenery, Lighting a glorious sunset.
Beautiful Autumn leaves
come aglow, With an enchantment that
charms, The senses into times long ago, So
breathtaking life disarms.
Genuine beauty calling the
heart, To give Almighty God Praise, For
another Autumn Gathering, Rendering His sweet
displays.
