A beautiful white rose was sent to me
A slim lone beauty, no thorns did I see,
Velvety soft petals pure as white snow
A sign of true love calling me so.

We walked in love a lot of years ago
Where angels tread, I now must go,
Our times we shared will never fade
As we meet again under clouds of shade.

You did not plan to travel quite so far
But there you are, my true shinning star,
Twinkling in the heavens up high above
Calling for me to share in your love.

A beautiful white rose lies here with me,
A sign of true love waiting for you to see,
Come lift my soul, kiss my lips tenderly,
Lock our hearts together for all eternity.
