My heart is
filled with a love
And I love Him more each day,
My soul is free to worship Him
And be blessed along the way.
They say there is a river of hope
And it’s on the other side,
A river that’s known as Jordan
Where endless joy abides.
They say there’s no heartache there,
No tears and no more pain,
And it’s all because of Jesus,
Who died to take our shame.
I know I want to go there someday,
To be free from all my tears,
And get rid of all the heartaches,
That chased me over the years.
I will laugh and sing with Jesus,
On streets of pure gold,
And leave my burden and sorrows,
Down here on earth below.
