In your daily walk
More important than eloquent talk.
Industry and thrift are basic to life
Keeping busy and avoiding waste
To make a home free from strife
As a mother and wife.
Love is gentle and kind
Shared with those who are mine
Affirming work well done
By children each and every one.
Love and devotion for your spouse brings
happiness
And crucial to marriage success
With honor given to husband as the head
And the wife as the helpmate by his side
Following what God's Word said.
Love of God makes life complete
And His presence makes life sweet.
Follow God's command to speak that which is true
And let only kind and loving words come from
you.
Tears of sad remembrance in my eyes swell
With love and honor for the example my mother
set
Guiding my path along life's way.
Even though many years she has been gone
I remember she taught me well.
