And when you glanced my way once again,
I knew we’d begin to live,
Somehow I sensed magic between us,
Simply we had love to give.

And the evening began when you took,
My hand in yours to dance close,
In a moment I knew we'd be when,
Simply you handed a rose.

And such a rose of beauty held near,
My heart carried feelings sweet,
In one beautiful moment I changed,
Simply because love did greet.

And when music romantically,
Gathered us together love,
In some heavenly way met us then,
Simply God gave from Above.

And then we perceived love truly real,
Not just a once make believe,
In this whole wide world love came to just,
Simply sincerely receive.

And the night went on when euphonies,
Were only heard just by us,
In a divine musical seeing,
Simply we were the Lord’s guests.

And the eyes of our souls knew heaven,
With all its wonderful bliss,
In some magical way we felt too,
Simply we’d love in one kiss.

And our hearts met high above in stars,
Somehow in sweet ambiance,
In a mingling all new as we fell,
Simply in love our first dance.
