When Sweet Love Is True

Here alone with you,
So close and so near.
The beating of our hearts,
Is the only sound that I hear.

In the darkness candle flames dance,
Like fireflies in the night.
You wrap your arms around me,
And hold me close and tight.

In our own little world we are,
Together,
Just you and I.
I love you,
You say to me,
In a hushed deep whispered sigh.

I look into your eyes,
There is nothing more you need to say.
I find you irresistible,
When you look at me that way.

As our lips touch,
I savour the sweetness of your kiss.
For treasured memories are made,
From special moments like this.

You give me your love,
Unconditionally and true.
As long as the stars continue to shine,
I know I will always love you.

Desire burns into the night,
Like the burning candles glow.
Passion and devotion rekindled,
Like all those many years ago.

Cherished love undeniable,
Whispered sighs within the night.
Two hearts pledged and committed,
Love's burning flames ignite.

The fire does burn wildly,
As we keep alive the flame.
Within the glow of candlelight,
Our undying love we profess and claim.

Many years have now passed,
And our precious love still thrives.
Together we will always be,
Now,
And for the rest of our lives.

A nurtured love grows continually,
Itself,
Stronger it does renew.
Contentment and completeness,
When Sweet Love Is True.
