~ An Hour With You~
Mightier than the sword,
The word of God is pure power,
His shield is impenetrable,
He is on guard o'er us each hour.
The word of God holds promises,
Assurance in times of need,
Shows love and forgiveness,
Sows harvest of kindness seed.
Gives comfort to grieving hearts,
Lifts spirits of the oppressed,
Through gentle love our Lord,
Tenderly holds us to His breast.
The word of God is a road map,
Showing the pathway through life,
Gives guidance to overcome hurdles,
Details bounties of blessings rife.
God's word is a lighthouse,
A beacon shining bright,
Guiding us e'er onward,
To safety through our plight.
The word of God is His love,
Bound by His wondrous loving care,
He gave His only Son for us,
His love will always be there.
