Lord, I have lost my way
As I stumbled along today.
I took the path of least resistance
Going where ever it led
Without guidance you provided instead.
Now, I have come to the end of the way
With sorrow that I strayed
And in the straight and narrow have not stayed.
Sinking low in the path of sin
I went along with the crowd
Rather than seeking the higher ground.
In sin's grip I have found
No joy or happiness
But sorrow and distress.
Lord, I turn again to you
As the pathfinder for my soul
And gladly take your direction
To the path that leads to life eternal
And joy supernal.
Make Thy path clear to me
So in Thy Will I will always be.
