Was I so wrong to believe in my heart,
That love could conquer all,
Was I so wrong to believe in love,
And still watch others fall.

There was a time I believed in everything,
And believed that people cared,
But now I begin to realize,
That life is just not that fair.

But thank you Lord for showing me,
The valleys high and low,
Because it's there I learn the truth,
And it helps me start to grow.

And it helps me not to judge someone,
That I meet along the way,
Because they could be an angel,
Sent down from heaven today.

It makes no difference right or wrong,
Without Jesus in our hearts,
So let this be a brand new day.
To make a brand new start.
