Sleep my precious
Rest in God's gentle love,
He is watching over you,
He looks down from up above.
You have played so hard today,
Running and romping around,
Riding trucks and playing cars,
Balls you bounce up and down.
Granny is also very tired,
I have been with you in play,
It is the greatest reward,
When "I love you" I hear you say.
I need to hold your hand,
Help you fix a lot of toys,
Push your jeep across the yard,
You bring to me such joys.
In a hole, granny to the rescue,
Your power truck is now free,
No more spinning tire for you,
Just look, now your chasing me.
You are always so active,
Busiest little guy I've ever seen,
You were reading a book to me,
Are there duckies in your dream?
Sweetest angelic face I see,
Your hair all tousled about,
The love you bring to my heart,
Will span a lifetime without doubt.
You do thrill me little one,
For you I thank the Lord above,
I am so blessed with the gift of you,
You my sweet little child, I surely love.
