Our life is
just an open book,
For all the entire world to see.
It can't be hid by closing the cover,
Although we might like for it to be.
Just inside the cover is an introduction,
It tells what our life's book is all about,
So be careful what you see and do,
When you are going out.
"A picture is worth a thousand words,"
For your life is being seen,
By people watching your every move,
To see your life within.
This book will have many chapters,
Mostly what your life is all about,
From birth until old age,
What kind of parent you were and how your life
turned out.
When just a babe we bring much joy,
To parents and all the rest.
We learn to crawl, walk and talk,
Then comes the biggest task.
There comes the teen years,
When challenges come our way,
Going to collage and facing temptations,
Will we be strong enough to pass the test or
will we go astray?
When the last chapter of our book is read,
How does this book end?
Does it end in wasted years and regret?
Or have we walked it faithfully with Jesus our
Savior and Friend?
