~ An Hour With You~

In loving memory of my Mother who has gone on to be with the Lord

Dear Mother, We are happy we can honor you today,
For we know we've brought you heartaches,
As we walked along life's way.

In our own special way we want to thank you Mama,
For all the love that you have given,
And all so freely and so unselfish,
Like a blessing sent from Heaven.

For the hours of toil and strife,
For the pain you suffered for us,
As you sought to give us life.

For the times you forgave us Mama,
When so often we did wrong,
You were worn, tired and weary,
Because your efforts made us strong.

Oh Dear Mother please forgive us,
For the times we brought you pain,
For all the unkind words we said,
That we can't never recall again.

And for all the times we failed to tell you Mama,
That we loved you most of all,
We can see our failures now Mama,
But the tears we can't recall.

If only we made your life more happy,
Instead of the tears,
We'd gladly make more smiles,
For it's you alone Dear Mother,
Who made our life worthwhile.
