O Lord God of hosts who is mighty,
A mighty Lord like unto You,
Your faithfulness is round about me,
Encircling love over and through.

I cry unto You Lord in trouble,
Only You’re my Most High refuge,
For You help me out of all distress,
Every overwhelming deluge.

You silence storms to mere whispers,
And blowing winds cease and are calm,
Because I love You, You rescue me,
With a gentle sweep of Your palm.

You hear my prayer when I call out,
When danger lurks about in quest,
I cry unto You Lord protect me,
You spare me hearing my request.

You are the most loving Lord of all,
You overlook my faults and see,
The heart of me crying out in fear,
And You protect me as I flee.

Always when I walk through days alone,
I cry unto You my tower,
My strength and present help in trouble,
And in my midst every hour.

In Your shadow my Almighty God,
I have shelter under Your wings,
How I praise and love You I exist,
By the love Your hand ever brings.
