As I walk this
cold dark street with the wind,
Cutting a chill right through my clothes.
Haven’t had a hot meal to eat or,
A warm place to sleep for such a long long time.
I pull my hat down on my face
People pass me by going on their way.
Tomorrow’s such a long time,
Got to find my way again.
If I can make it until tomorrow,
I think I’ll be ok by then.
Turn my collar to the wind,
Looking for a place where I can rest for the
night,
Climb in the back of an old junk truck,
Pull a piece of cardboard up over my head,
Trying to get to tomorrow,
Knowing that this night may never end.
Tomorrow’s such a long time,
Got to find my way back in.
If I can make it until tomorrow,
I think I’ll be ok by then.
