I was on a road to
nowhere,
Leading to a life of sin,
Not knowing much about this Jesus,
Who had died to bring me in.
I was headed into darkness,
On that dark and lonely road,
Not knowing where it would take me,
With my tears and heavy load.
But I’m so glad He took my burdens,
Made them all His very own,
Now I live to tell the story,
How His love has bought me home.
Half way through the strife and turmoil,
Someone called and spoke my name,
Saying I’m the man called Jesus,
Who had died to take your shame.
I no longer walk alone,
There’s someone who really cares,
And each time I’m feeling lonely,
I just go to him in prayer.
Won’t you come and try my Jesus,
As he calls on you today,
Reach out in faith and call upon him,
Come and let him have his way.
I’m so glad He took my burdens,
Made them all His very own,
Now I live to tell the story,
How His love has bought me home.
