I'll Ask My Lord
When this life
And I finally see my Lord,
I'll ask Him many things,
I always wanted to know.
How could He love me so,
When I was filled with sin?
So many things I'd like to know,
I don't know where to begin.
Why do good people have to die,
Just in the prime of life?
Why they had to suffer so,
Before their time to die?
I guess we didn't need to know these things,
Because He knew what's best.
It must have been to try our faith,
If we could stand the test.
We go through many valleys,
Before we reach the mountain tops,
But once we reach the mountain's peak,
Then all those fears will stop.
If everything went smoothly,
And every day was trouble free,
There would be no need for Jesus,
Who died upon that tree.
We'd begin to think that all we need,
Was being good and kind.
That doing all the right things,
Would be enough to clear our minds.
Repent ye, for the kingdom of God,
Is getting close at hand,
For Jesus is the way,
No other way for man.
