Sleep sweet child of mine,
God watches over you as you rest.
Such a precious gift,
That I have been so blessed.

You're an angel sent down,
From Heaven above to Earth.
Diamonds, silver or gold,
So much more you are worth.

Our lives forever changing,
Like Ferris wheels going 'round.
As I watch you sleep,
You don't utter a single sound.

A wish that came true,
When God entrusted you to me.
You're a vision of true beauty,
So plain for all to see.

You fill me with such emotions,
That I could never hide.
Our life together magical,
A never ending carousel ride.

Such joy and happiness,
Never have I known.
I never knew I could love so much,
Until you became my own.

So fair and innocent,
I will take care of you.
There is nothing more important,
That I could ever do.

Oh I do love you so little one,
I pray and thank God everyday.
That you're here with me,
Forevermore to stay.

I tiptoe from your room,
As you lie there in your bed.
As teddy bears and angels,
Dance around within your head.

Sleep sweet child of mine,
