I'm just a lonely little
mouse,
Skipping here all alone.
I just moved into the country,
Into our new home.
We moved away from the city,
And the only friend I ever had.
If only I could find a new friend,
Then I wouldn't feel so sad.
My best friend meant the world to me,
And I miss her so.
And now a new friend I must find,
Is anyone out there?
Hello!
Well good day there,
It sure is nice to meet you.
What's that you say?
You say you're glad to meet me too!
A new friend I have found,
How truly excited I am.
Would you like to come in for a glass of milk?
And perhaps some toast with jam.
I helped Mama make it,
The jam.
You know what I mean.
It's Gramma's favorite recipe,
She always said it was fit for a queen.
Oh I'm so glad I popped in today,
Or I wouldn't have found you.
Then I would have to continue my search,
But now there's no need to.
So can I call you my friend?
I won't unless you agree.
If you could find some time to spare do you
think?
You could.
