Lord, come to my rescue.
Tell me what to do
For my spirit is broken.

People I trusted failed me

When they chose to depart.

Friend, I beseech Thee
Offer a prayer for me
For I can no longer cope.

The light of my spirit is gone
And no song in my soul
Now that I am alone.

The joy of life
Has gone from me
Leaving a feeling of despair.

Lord, breathe into my spirit
Hope where there is none.
Help me know new life for me has begun.

Return the joy of Salvation to me
Showing me it was not You
But I who withdrew.

Remind me of Your presence
As you wrap Your arms around
So Your precious love can be found.

Open my eyes to see
That You are ever near
Waiting for my return to Thee.

Lord, I will seek Thy face
So once again my spirit will heal
As Your perfect grace I feel.
