I believe God has angels,
And many of course there are.
They are every day around us,
Inside most every door.
Who do you think it might have been,
That kept you from great harm,
That guided you and kept you,
From doing something wrong.
They have walked beside me many times,
Not knowing who they were.
Perhaps he was a beggar,
But cannot know for sure.
I have faced many dangers in my life,
That only God's angels could have known,
Delivering me from pain and death,
And yet where had that angel gone.
Many things in life could have taken me,
But somehow I was spared,
By angels unseen round me,
That brought God's love to share.
Too often we believe in coincidence,
Just something that happened you say.
But coincidence does not happen,
For God had planned it all that way.
I see no halos' round their heads,
No lovely angel wings.
I just can feel their presence,
In almost everything.
So if you see a weary stranger,
Stop and smile today,
For it could be an angel,
That God has sent your way.
