Angels heralded the Savior's
birth
In a lowly stable on earth.
The angel chorus sang from on high
Promising peace on earth
Goodwill to men
For the Prince of Peace had come.
Angel choruses rang out the peal
To shepherds tending their flock in the field.
Hallelujah to the King
The voices did ring
And heavenly music filled the air.
It was a silent night
And all was still
Until the angels began to sing
Hallelujah to the King
Declaring the wonderful news
A Savior had come for me and you.
The chorus of angels joined in song
Celebrating the Savior's birth
When heaven came down to earth
As a babe lying in swaddling clothes
Born to die on the cross but Hallelujah He
arose!
So, carols of praise
To the Christ child we raise.
Oh, how their voices did ring
The Hallelujah chorus to sing
Resounding o'er the land
Angel music majestic and grand
Offering back a song of praise
For the gift of perfect love
Sent from God above.
