I sit among the red roses,
Each touched by your loving hand,
Kisses tucked within each petal,
I love yous of love so grand.

Your absence is so pronounced,
My heart aches for the touch of you,
I reach out in deep confusion,
I am your forever love true.

Can you feel my love touch you,
In your heart do you join me tonight,
Though apart our love can blend,
In your stead I hold a red rose tight.

I bury my face in the petals,
Retrieving the love placed therein,
I close my eyes and search for you,
A sweetness of my love I send.

Among the red roses I pine,
The aching wells inside my heart,
My arms need to hold you tonight,
Yet great distance keeps us apart
