I want to be a rose in life,
One that will never fade,
And win souls as I’m blooming,
That will never decay.

I want to have some purpose,
As I live this life for Him,
Because I truly love my Lord,
And I will serve Him to the end.

I want the peace that Jesus gives,
And joy within my heart,
I want the salvation He offers us,
That never will depart.

I want to be a blessing tonight,
To all that may pass me by,
I want to do it for You, Lord,
For it was for me You died.

I want to twinkle all the time,
Like the stars that shine at night,
So someone can see a sparkle,
And make my heart so bright.

Yes I want to be the perfect rose,
Just like Jesus, God’s own Son,
And never ever fade away,
For there’s much yet to be done.
