The Wolf's Lullaby
Brother Wolf,
Under the veil of darkness,
I heard you crooning a lullaby.
Serenading,
Grandmother Moon you were.
Through the gentle warm breeze it streamed.
Oh how captivating,
And spellbinding it was.
It seduced my heart,
And apprehended my soul.
You,
A free spirit,
Like I wish mine to be.
If only,
I too could run unconstrained and wild,
How exhilarating it must be.
To feel the wind,
Rushing and washing over you.
Under the rays of Grandmother Moon,
When the fall of night,
Has crept upon us,
And after the stars,
Have graciously graced Father Sky.
Sing to me your song,
So quaint and alluring,
For it stirs and uplifts my withered,
And weary spirit.
Into the summers wind,
Weave your sedating song,
And sing for me,
The Wolf's Lullaby.
