Summer is almost over,
And fall is in the air.
Leaves will soon be turning,
With all their colors they will share.
I love this time of year,
When leaves float down so lofty,
Life feathers from a pillow,
That breezes blow so softly.
Flowers will bow their little heads,
When cold winds start to blow.
Just the way nature intended,
Getting ready for winter’s snow.
All things change with the seasons,
That’s the way it’s meant to be.
For life might become quite boring,
If they didn’t,
At least it would for me.
When it’s cold and wintry,
Too cold to be outside,
I like to write my friends in e-mails,
And they send me back replies.
It’s almost like having them there with me,
To share my thoughts and joy,
For my computer as you know,
Is just an adult toy.
So when you feel shut-in,
And don’t know what to do,
Just send out e-mails, to your friends,
Then they will share with you.
