This morning I knew my prayers were answered,
As I lay there in my bed.
I could hear the raindrops falling,
On the roof above my head.

Oh ! Precious Lord I thank You,
For we need the rain so bad,
For it has been a long, long time,
Since the last rain that we had.

Our meadows wouldn’t grow our hay,
Our yards are crisp and dead.
And You’ve sent the rain to feed them,
The way our souls were fed.

We can always count on You,
In answer to our prayers,
For when the times get rough,
We know that You’ll be there.

Thank you Lord for everything,
You are so good to man.
For everything worth having,
Has come from Your dear plan.
