walk into your room, so empty now,
You are supposed to be sitting here,
Loving thoughts crowd my mind,
As they reflect memories of yesteryear.
Unruly curls spring about your head,
Eyes sparkle as bright as the sun,
A smile to warm the coldest heart,
I love you so much my darling one.
Placed as you left sits your Teddy,
Holding your photo in his grasp,
He was your very first real friend,
He stayed with you 'till the last.
Oh my cherished daughter,
I sob with loneliness for you,
The happiness I treasured,
Is gone, leaving me so blue.
I know you are in the sky above,
Running along streets of pure gold,
Skipping from cloud to fluffy cloud,
Watching angel wings gently unfold.
I believe you watch o'er us,
Me and your beloved Teddy bear,
You are not alone in your new home,
You have angels and Jesus to share.
I long to see your smile so bright,
Oh baby, I wish you were ever near,
I yearn for loving family again,
Yet live with memories of yesteryear.
