Lord Help
Me To Be Willing
I just need to
talk again Lord,
I know my faith is awfully weak.
For I know I haven't been listening,
When I know You try to speak
But then I start to think of heaven,
And I'm thankful I'm loved by Thee,
For every breath I take, You give,
And eyes for everything I see.
Then Dear Lord I think of Abraham,
How he was willing to obey,
To even sacrifice his son,
But You took that need away.
Then there was Noah, though it had never rained,
Still built the ark for You,
For Noah trusted the flood would come,
Just as You said that it would do.
Because of Noah's faith in You Lord,
You spared his family from the flood,
While others laughed and scorned him,
But Noah obeyed Your word.
And there was Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego,
Cast into the burning fiery furnace,
But You delivered them out unhurt,
Just as You have delivered us.
And Lord I think how Satan tempted Job,
How Job was taunted by his friends.
Covered with painful sores, but God spoke in a
mighty storm,
And Job trusted Him even more.
Please teach me Lord to trust that way,
For I feel so weak and torn,
To think how good You've been to me,
And for all for me You've done.
The greatest thing that I desire
Is to put myself aside,
And do whatever your will might be,
What ever You decide.
