I Have No
Sad Song To Sing!
I have no sad songs to sing,
For you dear Friend today!
I'm the "blood bought" child of a Heavenly King,
And I'm so happy on my way!
Ah yes, I've had my share of pain,
As I traveled down Life's road!
But, I've had the sunshine with the rain,
On the way to my Heavenly Abode!
Yes, there are things in life that I've not
understood,
I will have to say.
However, I accept the bad with the good,
As I live from day to day!
Though I've made some bad mistakes, it's true,
While, this old Earth I trod
I just have to do as others do,
And leave it in the hands of God!
Sometimes I feel burdened down,
With a heavy load of care!
But, I very quickly lose my frown,
When I feel my Saviour there!
I haven't had all roses, Friend!
I've felt the prick of a thorn!
But, the One who will meet me at the end,
Has been with me since I was born!
Christ has guided me with His strong hand!
He is my soon coming King!
I shall soon enter "The Promised Land!"
Friend, I have no sad songs to sing!
