Fix Our Eyes

As we move through our lives,
We begin to realize,
That there really is something,
On which we must fix our eyes.

Yearn for love and understanding,
And those with life to share,
For one thing that you must do,
Is to show others that you care.

Try to show all people,
What it is you believe,
For if you choose to do so,
Then God's love you will receive.

For His Son did come in glory,
To walk this troubled Earth,
He came to show all people,
What belief was really worth.

So fix your eyes on Jesus,
And try to do no wrong,
For with Him there to guide,
You will always feel strong.

So people I do ask you,
To show what you believe,
For you bring into life nothing,
And take nothing when you leave.

We might strive for fame and fortune,
And by all be recognized,
But it is worth nothing,
If we've failed to fix our eyes.
