Come Sit With Me
Come sit with me,
Lord
In this quiet place
And we shall commune today
For I have lots to say
Or I will be silent if you wish
And let you speak to me.
In this beautiful place
I wish to speak face to face
And share the desires of my heart
At the dawning of this new day
Or in the quiet of evening as day slips away.
Lord, come and sit with me.
I have need of Thee
With troubles that beset
And threaten to overwhelm.
I know the troubles of my heart
You are more than able to quell.
Friend, come sit with me for a spell.
I have wonderful news to tell
Of marvelous things my Lord has done
And unmerited grace that is mine
For the victory has been won
Over sin and the grave
By the death of God's Son.
What glory divine!!!
Lord, I ask Your will
That my heart you may fill
With joy for work I am to do
Making it known
My Master sits on heaven's throne
And I gladly serve Him all day long.
