Beyond the
mountains I gaze,
Looking toward the heavens above,
Enthralled with the wondrous creations,
God made all reflecting His great love.
The beginnings of creation,
The vast land, the sky and the sea,
God made a beautiful world,
He made it for you and for me.
Beyond the mountains I sing,
Sending praise to the one I love,
God is in all I behold,
He's the omnipresence thereof.
Alpha and Omega, the great I AM,
Only through His generous blessings,
Do I look in wonder at mountain heights,
He so imbued with nature's dressings.
The sun, moon and twinkling stars,
Shine giving us needed light,
God knew what He was doing,
He gave brightness to day and night.
Beyond the mountains I worship,
The Master of the roiling sea,
Prayers of deepest gratification,
This sinner, His love hath set free.
Hear me cry, Oh sweet Jesus,
I am Yours forevermore,
I long for the day's travel,
To meet You on heaven's shore.
