Not Of This World

We are in this world
"Not of It" God has said
From His words in the Bible
Which, I pondered as I read

Words...That are so strong
Yet, they are so very true
For if we have Christ "In Us"
We don't do what ....Others do

Living on this earth everyday
With treasures and pleasures galore
We must keep our sites toward heaven
Contemplating the riches we've stored

Being tempted...In every way
It's hard to stay on the narrow path
Yet, if we don't go the way of it
Judgment day...Will prove God's wrath

He knows the evil wiles of Satan
As He knows our fleshy sinful way
That is why He said to call on Him
When we feel... That we might stray

While we remain true Christians
We must remember, in every way
We are in this world... Not of it
Looking to God as our mainstay!
