When we stand before God
On that great "Judgement Day"
My Advocate will represent me
He'll be there to clear the way

For sure, Satan...Our accuser
Will be pacing, to and fro
Reminding God of my bad deeds
While condemning me, I know

Jesus will be my defense
He'll be the judge too....
So, try as hard as he might
There's nothing "Satan" can do

For when I invited Jesus in
So many years ago.....
He washed my filthy rags
Making them white as snow

Now, when I go before the Throne
With my "Advocate" at my side
God will tell me 'You're Forgiven"
And Heaven is where I'll abide!
