Summertime is fast
approaching,
Flowers nod their heads as we pass,
Leaves seem to wave in greeting,
Colors arrayed in fragrant mass.
Trees decked out in new clothing,
Leafed out in different hues of green,
Birds hidden through out sing songs,
Safely camouflaged; heard but unseen.
Swaying grass carpets rich meadows,
Wild flowers dot the grassy knoll
Little bunnies hop through dense grass,
Stop to nibble on young tender boles.
Days begin warm and ever so bright,
Drying away the morning dew,
Tiny sprouts grow from buried seed,
As fragile life cycles begin anew.
Look around you at all the beauty,
Behold the wonders you see,
Remember God created all things,
He gave substance to me and you.
