Sprinkled in Gold Dust, sent from Heaven
Then, gently wrapped in my hospital gown
My Mommy and Daddy waited anxiously
While the family, all gathered around

I saw the sparkle in Mommy’s eyes
As she took her first look at me
Daddy was smiling, so full of pride
They were as happy as they could be

I feel that they are really pleased
Always saying, they love me so
Making real sure, I’m all together
I’m inspected…. From head to toe

I see the love in my Grandma’s eyes
And my Grandpa’s are really beaming
I can tell, they’ll love me, whether
I’m smiling, crying or screaming

My Great Grandma’s and Grandpa’s
Simply brag about me, to everyone
I know when I go to visit them
They’ll spoil me…. It’ll be fun

Aunts and Uncles, I have many
They fuss over me, you see
I can tell from the love on their faces
They’ll always be there for me

Now I’ll start to do … The things
All babies are expected to do
Look wide eyed, and smile real pretty
Making sure to Gurgle and Coo

I’m so very happy to be here
And welcomed with so much love
I heard it said, that I’m a “Blessing”
Sent special, from God Above!
