In my Fathers house are many
mansions; if it were not so I would have
told you. I go to prepare a place for
you. And if I go and prepare a place for you
I will come again, and receive you unto
myself, that where I am you may be
also. -John 14:2-3
God of heaven
In my eyes I see You
As the God of all shepherds
Leading Your flock of lambs and sheep
As the Quill of all humanity
That writes the way of eternal Life
When all else is vexation and vanity
Filled with envy and strife.
By faith I see You
It's by faith we walk
It's by faith that our mountains are moved
It's by faith our rough path becomes smooth
Faith is not only a word spoken
In the midst of a world of sin
It's a feeling that God bestows within
A substance of things hoped for
Evidence of things unseen
That God liberally has dealt to all men.
A feeling that God will be there
When all else fails
A feeling that when a window closes
A door will open and gently unveil
To a room filled with contentment
A comfort zone that joy will prevail.
Without the essence of faith
All measures up to sin
God cannot be pleased
Our heart in turmoil then begins
But if we ask in faith
And nothing doubt
We shall receive from our Savior
The favor of His blessings surely poured out.
By faith I see You
I need not thrust my hand
In the spear hole of Jesus' side
To believe that Your Son came and died
Or see the nail scars in His hands
To believe upon Your salvation plan
Let me see You as the simplicity
Through a child's eyes
To accept Your way and never
Ponder how or why
For Your way is so great
As far as heaven is above the earth
Past finding out...
In my eyes
You're God and You're real
You're what Life is all about.
LOVE ~ JOY ~ PEACE
