Tears fall,
The heart calls,
I'm lost,
Without you.

Images come,
Retreat again,
Take me back,
I can't retain.

Too few years,
I held you near,
Always dreamed,
Of love so dear.

Happiness awed,
Smiles spanned,
Ever uplifting,
Holding hands.

Emptiness hangs,
Like a cloud,
Wrapping love,
In a shroud.

What happened,
To you that day,
Overriding love,
In a forever way?

Can you see me,

The words spoken,
The dreaded fear?

I pray so hard,
To understand,
A senseless death,

An empty shell,
