A Friend Like You

I never thought it ever so true,
That I could find a friend like you,
So full of love in everyway,
To bless my heart day after day.


A friend who listens to me cry,
And never once lets out a sigh,
A friend that never will go away,
A friend I trust in all the way.


A friend I can trust with my heart,
And know that we will never part,
Because you are very loyal and kind,
The words I say are not hard to find.


Friends like you are unique and rare,
For in my heart I know that you care,
This friendship of ours will never die,
You listen to reason, and not asked why.


A friend like you is a precious treasure,
With a heart you cannot measure,
That’s why I love you the way I do,
You are my friend and I cherish you.
