Splashes of beauty revive my soul.
Childhood memories, long ago lost,
Secrets confessed, hearts that were crossed.
Grown in the wild under a tree,
Such golden gems, you caused me to see.
Out in the meadow along the way,
I bared my soul to you; "widow's weeds" lay.
Tears were shed, hidden pain was revealed,
That mournful day with you there in the field.
I picked my mother a small bouquet,
Of my golden secrets then went on my way.
