The hands move slowly on the clock,
Everything is quiet and still;
There is no one, to whom I can talk,
It's a loneliness that I feel.

I should take this quiet time,
And use it to talk to the Lord;
At least I know he'll listen,
And be my sounding board!

I sometimes think God arranges,
This quiet time for me;
For then I turn my thoughts toward him,
And seek his company.

I usually start, by offering praise,
Then I tell him my hearts desires;
Complaining about my problems too,
Sometimes I go on for hours!

In this busy world of ours,
With, not enough time in the day;
I'm grateful for this quiet time,
To talk with Jesus and pray.
