My Heavenly Flight

An angel sat upon my bed,
And said to me last night,
It won’t be long my child,
We’ll take a heavenly flight.

I said, Oh no, for that can’t be.
I’m much too young to go.
But as I thought of all my pain,
It didn’t worry me so.

For life on earth is full of heartache,
Working for earthly gain.
And when life is over,
Our work was all in vain.

Store up your treasures where they will last,
On earth, they will just waste away.
But stored in heaven everlasting,
Where they never will decay.
