Come and celebrate with Me
My birthday is near and I invite you,
I would love to live in your hearts,
To hold a special place, I'd be a friend true.
You remember Santa Claus,
Gifts to buy for all of your friends,
Decorations are shared inside and out,
Yet remembering Me is not the trend.
I see inside your window,
I also see inside your heart,
Is it asking too much of you,
To let Me be a loving part?
The gifts will soon shed their wrappings,
The moment will quickly fade away,
I will always remain in your lives,
If you will just invite Me to stay.
I am the reason for the season,
Yet My existence is often denied,
The gift of life I gave for you,
But acknowledging Me is decried.
I patiently await your RSVP,
Standing outside in the cold,
Waiting to give you eternal life,
In exchange for your mortal soul.
Accept my invitation, celebrate with Me,
I have the banquet table prepared,
My gift is waiting to be accepted,
An eternity of happiness to be shared.
