Christmas At Home
Remembering Christmas at
home’s grand,
Our big old roomy house of white,
Cherry woodwork, China cupboards ‘round,
How the old place beamed love so bright.

It seems we had more snow way back then,
Big snowflakes covered the huge pine,
This lofty tree towered o’er the lawn,
Our Christmas tree outside was fine.

I remember Christmas filled with love,
I see Daddy playing his horn,
Mother baking and cooking for days,
Songs and prayers Jesus was born.

All glitter with lots of people there,
Celebrate Him, ‘Tis the Season,
But remembered His Birthday each day,
He gave life and love’s our reason.

Our Christmas tree stood high ten feet tall,
Ornaments handmade, string popcorn,
Old fancy colored balls and tinsel,
Huge lights on the tree to adorn.

I miss Christmas time at home back then,
And the big roomy house of white,
Now it seems it was in olden days,
I'll never forget Christmas night.
