Here with me throughout the day,
The angel on my shoulder.
I feel the friendship and the care
Each day I feel less older.

I'm reminded to be thankful,
For each new day in life.
There's a reason to be happy,
Even in the days of strife.

He stays with me on all my trips,
Especially to the park.
That's where I mostly talk to him,
Sometimes till almost dark.

He knows my deepest secrets
We talk about my dream.
He always seems to understand,
And know just what I mean.

I hope this dear sweet angel,
With me will always stay.
Because I've come to care for him,
