                                   My Lord You were in
                                agony
There in the Garden of Gethsemane
                                Your chosen even deserted You
                                As You pleaded anew.

Asking our Father for another way
Dreading what was coming that day.
                                Accepting His Will even though,
You didn't want it to be so.

You pleaded, and wept as You prayed
The time was here, You were being betrayed.
Even Peter would deny You that night
As they beat you with all of their might.

                                Beyond recognition You were
Not once giving them an answer.
Lord, it should have been me
                                Taking that beating, not Thee.

You took my place upon the cross,
                                Willingly Your life was lost.
You took my sin on Yourself that day,
Yes, for me You made a way.

I've accepted the atonement you made for me
As Your lifeblood flowed from Your side
                                willingly.
Such Love as Yours has never been known
No other love would ever atone.

Lord, may I live my life in Your Will.
May I always listen and be still,
And hear Your Voice as You speak.
To be mild mannered and meek.

May I allow You to set me on fire.
To put in my heart a desire,
To witness to others of Your Saving Grace,
How on Calvery's tree You took our place.

                                Scripture From Mark 14:

And He went forward a little, and fell on the

ground, and prayed that, if it were possible,

the hour might pass from Him. And He said,
                                Abba, Father, all things are possible unto Thee;

take away this cup from Me: nevertheless not
what I will, but what Thou wilt.
