When I gaze into my mirror
At the Image that I see.....
It is my face..Which I’m familiar
But ....It’s like you Lord, I long to be.
I’m looking for compassionate eyes
A brightness emanating...From within
Love enough to forgive, hurt and lies
And understanding...... All flesh is sin
I want a smile, showing happiness
For my face to have a ....Special glow
I want all to see, That I am blessed
And love and understanding to flow
Yes Lord, when I look into my mirror
It is “You” I would like to see.......
For then I would know, I’m living
The way you meant, for me to be
For if I walk ...Within your ways.
And do as you, asked us to do....
I would be letting my light shine
Representing an “Image” of you!
