~ An Hour With You~

I think of years that could have been,
When you chose to walk out the door,
You’ll never know the shock and tears,
Oh Yes, I could have loved you more.

A shame and humiliation,
Drove me to the nearest deep shore,
Stunned with such a fear I sat there,
Jesus showed me the only door.

He helped me through the days ahead,
For you, mercy was my outpour,
I’m sure you know now all you lost,
Oh Yes, I could have loved you more.

When one forgives, it should be done,
Yet remembering will not leave,
You ravaged my soul completely,
The death of our love I still grieve,

I pray others can trust again,
My heart’s locked and God has the key,
Only He knows all that anguish,
I could have loved you more you see.

My love for you’s now gone away,
I can’t change those years for I’ve tried,
To love you then was part of me,
When you left, that love inside died.
