A Burning Candle

 

May I be a candle, Lord,
Burning throughout the night,
To let the glow of Your sweet love,
Overflow my soul with light.

May I be a willing vessel,
burning all the time,
to show I love my Jesus,
Whose love is so divine.

If I could reach one soul for You,
With my candle burning bright,
My heart would overflow with joy,
As angels dance with delight.

May all Your love shine through me,
So others would want to know,
Why the love of Jesus,
Is glowing in my soul.

May I be a witness, Lord,
Wherever I may go,
As long as You give me strength,
To carry on below.
