Wear And Tear

Now that I’m so much older
My body shows a lot of wear and tear
So now when I look in my mirror
I don’t recognize who I see in there

I used to be slim you see
Everything was always in place
Now every single part of me
Seems to be all over the place

The smiles I used to give
Were always sunny and Oh, so bright
Now the smiles I give
Always seems to be slanted to the right

Sometimes I think it isn’t fair
Oh, so much wear and tear
What the body used to have
Just doesn’t seem to be there
